This biological microscope offers magnification of 40x, 100x, 400x, 600x and 1000x (up to 1600x with an optional 16x eyepiece). The device is equipped with bright, highly contrasting semiplanachromatic lenses. Trinocular head allows connecting a microscope camera or a SLR camera in an independent third optical path.
The microscope has a convenient switch (next to the coarse motion knobs on the left side of microscope) that allows locking the upper position of the table, after sharpening the image. Thus, lowering the table with coarse motion knobs and, for example, to change the preparation you can easily put it back in the plane of focus. It also helps to avoid crushing the preparation as a result of careless use of coarse knob movement.
