Connect your mobile device to the wireless network of your NexStar Evolution telescopes and explore the universe with the Celestron app for iOS and Android.

The planetarium program on your smartphone shows you the current sky view or a list of observation targets for your location. The easy-to-use SkyAlign is integrated into the Celestron app, so you can set up the telescope and set the three reference stars in just a few minutes.

SIMPLE AND COMFORTABLE OPERATION

Customer feedback from recent years was incorporated into the development of the NexStar Evolution telescopes. They offer many thoughtful details so that you can enjoy the most beautiful night possible under the stars.
No more worrying about batteries or an external power supply. The NexStar Evolution is the first amateur telescope to have a built-in lithium iron phosphate battery. One charge lasts up to ten hours. You can even use the Evolution`s USB port to power other devices you want to use at night.
The NexStar Evolution is easy to set up thanks to the large, ergonomic handles. The steel tripod has markings so you can easily extend all legs to the same length. The azimuth and elevation clamps allow you to align the telescope to a target even without power. Up to seven eyepieces can be stored in two storage compartments - one even has dimmable red LED lighting.

MORE PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY WITH LITHIUM IRON PHOSPHATE BATTERY

Instead of a typical lithium polymer battery, the Evolution telescopes use a lithium iron phosphate battery. These LiFePO4 batteries have some advantages over simple LiPo batteries:
High safety: Unlike LiPo batteries, LiFePO4 batteries cannot explode or ignite, and are considered intrinsically safe.
Due to the better power density, a high load capacity is ensured even when current is drawn continuously.
Long service life and cycle stability.
Wide temperature range for storage and operation
Low self-discharge

Excellent tracking accuracy, suitable for astrophotography

If you are interested in astrophotography, the NexStar Evolution 5`` is an excellent and affordable way to get started. It is the only fork-mounted telescope in this price range with brass worm gears, along with improved motors. The tracking accuracy of NexStar Evolution is so impressive that you can capture images of deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula by simply connecting your DSLR camera.
Planetary photography with a DSLR or a planetary camera like a NexImage is no problem at all, and with a polar wedge for NexStar Evo/SE you can also set it up in an equatorial position to take long-exposure deep sky images.
The Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes with the StarBright XLT coating deliver bright, sharp images and are just as interesting for visual observers as they are for astrophotographers.
The scope of delivery of the NexStar Evolution telescopes includes a StarPointer viewfinder, two 1.25`` Pl?ssl eyepieces, a 1.25`` diagonal mirror, power supply and a hand controller.
A classic NexStar+ hand controller is included in the scope of delivery, but is not required if you use NexStar Evolution use the mobile app.
